Daniel Weimert

Daniel Weimert is a public policy specialist, social entrepreneur, and speaker with extensive expertise in disinformation, platform regulation, national security, and AI. He is the co-founder and co-CEO of the German nonprofit ‘codetekt,’ an organization dedicated to combating disinformation.
At Twitter in Dublin and Berlin, Daniel drove engagement with German and Russian governments. As a Mercator Fellow, he gained experience in strategic communications and hybrid threats at NATO's Center of Excellence in Riga, the European Commission in Brussels, and the Atlantic Council in Washington, D.C.
Daniel earned his MA in Political Communications from the Berlin University of the Arts and Sorbonne University in Paris, and his BA in Journalism and Communications from the Free University of Berlin and UC San Diego.
