George Salama is a senior technology strategist and executive advisor operating at the intersection of tech industrial innovation, public policy, and sovereign digital strategy. He leads a portfolio of initiatives focused on responsible AI adoption, regulatory intelligence, and digital transformation across emerging markets.

George previously served as the Regional Director of Public Policy for Twitter (MENA, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran), where he led high-stakes engagement with governments and regulators. Earlier, he led public policy at the SAMENA Telecommunications Council and focused on internet governance at Egypt’s NTRA.

George holds an MS in Business Information Technology from Middlesex University (UK) and a BS from the American University in Cairo.
