Ian Plunkett is a seasoned professional in communications, brand strategy, culture, and executive leadership. Recently, he served as the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at Alder Renewables.

Ian built Twitter’s Policy Communications team around the world from 2015 to 2021, overseeing issues such as data protection, privacy, and election security. Following his tenure at Twitter, he joined Coinbase as the first Director of Global Policy Communications. Previously, he worked for Tech Nation in the UK and on Capitol Hill for Congressman Michael McMahon.

He holds a BA in International Relations from Dublin City University and an MS in Political Science & Communications from the London School of Economics.
